
Abu Dhabi, April 26: India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday. The two leaders discussed measures to enhance their comprehensive strategic partnership, regional conditions, and other mutually beneficial issues.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Indian Embassy in the UAE stated, “NSA Ajit Doval officially visited the UAE. He met with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Discussions focused on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership, regional situations, and other matters of mutual interest.”
This visit marks India’s second high-level delegation to the UAE this month, following a two-day trip by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar earlier.
Earlier this month, Minister Jaishankar also met with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, where he extended greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During their meeting, Jaishankar thanked the President for ensuring the welfare of the Indian community in the UAE amid the ongoing conflicts in West Asia.
Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was also present during the meeting.
Minister Jaishankar expressed on X, “I felt honored to meet UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi today. I conveyed warm wishes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for ensuring the welfare of the Indian community during the West Asia conflict. I appreciate his guidance in strengthening the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership.”
In another post, he mentioned, “It was great to meet Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the call. Our government is committed to ensuring the welfare of the Indian community in Dubai.”
On April 11, Minister Jaishankar discussed the changing dynamics in West Asia and its broader implications with UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He expressed confidence that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations will continue to advance.
