New Delhi, April 20: India’s National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, embarked on an official visit to Riyadh on Sunday. During his trip, he held several high-level meetings with senior Saudi leaders to enhance mutual relations, boost energy cooperation, and discuss regional developments.

The Indian Embassy in Riyadh stated that discussions covered various topics, including mutual cooperation, regional security concerns, and areas of mutual benefit.
Doval met with prominent Saudi leaders, including Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and National Security Advisor Musaad Al-Aiban.
The Indian Embassy also shared details of the visit on the social media platform X, noting, “NSA Ajit Doval arrived in Riyadh on April 19. He was welcomed at the airport by Ambassador Dr. Suhail Khan and Minister of Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Satti. Later, he held meetings with Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaad Al-Aiban. The discussions focused on bilateral relations, regional situations, and other issues of mutual interest.”
This visit comes amidst India’s active diplomatic engagements on global security matters. Just days earlier, on April 17, Doval had a lengthy conversation with Rustam Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council.
The meeting emphasized the ongoing strategic dialogue between New Delhi and Kyiv amid the conflict in Eastern Europe.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the talks with Ukraine focused on the bilateral relationship and the Russia-Ukraine dispute. India reiterated its commitment to advocating for a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
