Noida Police Heightens Security Ahead of Chhath Puja Celebrations

Noida, November 4 (Daily Kiran) : The Gautam Buddh Nagar police department is intensifying preparations for the upcoming Chhath Puja festival to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration. Anticipating a significant influx of devotees at the Yamuna ghats, police officials have begun assessing security measures. Under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, an inspection of the Yamuna ghats in the Sector 126 area was conducted on Wednesday.
During the inspection, officials closely evaluated safety protocols for devotees, crowd management strategies, and transportation arrangements. The review was supervised by Noida’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Preeti Yadav, with additional support from Assistant DCP Abhay Kumar Mishra and ACP-1 Praveen Kumar, who were present with police personnel.
Officials examined the surrounding conditions at the ghats, focusing on strategies to manage the anticipated crowds and ensure that devotees face no inconveniences. Clear instructions were given to on-duty officers to prioritize the safety of every individual attending Chhath Puja.
To facilitate smooth access to and from the ghats, appropriate arrangements will be made. Police personnel have been advised to remain vigilant to control crowds, prevent any disorder, and maintain peace throughout the event.
Authorities emphasized that all necessary security measures must be completed before the start of Chhath Puja. Officers on duty are expected to remain at their designated posts and execute their responsibilities diligently, keeping the comfort of the devotees in mind. They have also been instructed to be prepared for any emergencies or potential disturbances.
It is important to note that during Chhath Puja, a large number of devotees gather at the Yamuna ghats to offer prayers to the setting and rising sun. Therefore, effective crowd control, security, and smooth movement are critical. This inspection by police officials is seen as part of the preparations to ensure a successful celebration.
