
Patna, March 7: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to join the Rajya Sabha has sparked significant unrest among Janata Dal (United) workers and the public. Following this announcement, a meeting of the legislative assembly took place on Friday, where it was confirmed that Nitish’s son, Nishant Kumar, will soon enter active politics. Minister Shravan Kumar provided insights into the discussions held during this meeting.
Minister Shravan Kumar stated, “Under the Chief Minister’s directive, a meeting of the Janata Dal (United) legislative party was convened. During this meeting, the Chief Minister presented the entire situation and urged party workers, leaders, legislators, MPs, and ministers to remain patient. He assured them that he is not abandoning them and will continue to work alongside them, standing by them in both good and bad times.”
He further explained, “Nitish Kumar has made a political decision. The public, workers, MPs, and legislators are not satisfied with this decision. However, it can be termed a political decision. When a leader makes such a decision, it is the duty of the workers and officials to stand by him.”
Shravan Kumar emphasized that the Chief Minister clarified he made this decision without any external pressure. His desire was to join the Rajya Sabha, and if there had been any pressure, Nitish Kumar would have communicated it. He also reassured party workers and officials that any difficulties or issues would be addressed.
Regarding Nishant Kumar, Shravan Kumar noted that the youth have long been demanding his entry into active politics. He described Nishant as educated and soft-spoken, stating that he should indeed enter the political arena. Party leaders have also been advocating for Nishant’s involvement in politics. There is hope that Nishant Kumar will soon join the Janata Dal and embark on a new journey, bringing fresh energy to Bihar.
