New Delhi, March 27: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has raised serious questions regarding the history of the Congress party. He stated that on this day, March 27, 1963, the then Chief Minister of Odisha, Biju Patnaik, visited the United States, playing a crucial role in the relationship between India, the US, and then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Dubey shared this information through a post on ‘X’. In his post, he claimed, “The war with China in 1962 was fought at the behest of the US and with its financial support.” He also alleged that the brother of the Dalai Lama was in contact with the US and that the Dalai Lama arrived in India in 1959 with American assistance.
Furthermore, he mentioned that during 1963-64, India allowed the US military to store nuclear testing equipment in the Nanda Devi region of Uttarakhand. Additionally, the US U-2 spy plane was reportedly allowed to use the Charbatia Air Force Base in Odisha.
Dubey also questioned Congress regarding election funding, asserting that between 1955 and 1962, the US and the CIA provided financial support to the Congress party during all elections. He cited a book by the then US ambassador, which claimed that Indira Gandhi received direct funding during the Kerala elections. This issue had previously sparked debates in Parliament, leading to the formation of a committee. Dubey referred to this as a dark chapter in Congress’s history.
These claims have reignited discussions surrounding history and politics. As of now, there has been no response from Congress regarding these allegations.
