
Patna, March 10: Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has officially joined the Janata Dal (United) party. Minister Dilip Jayaswal expressed his warm welcome, stating that Nishant’s entry into politics is a positive development. He noted that JD(U) leaders and supporters had been eager for Nishant to make this move, emphasizing that he is an educated individual.
In response to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent remarks, Minister Jayaswal commented that Kharge often seems unaware of his own statements. He highlighted that India is now the world’s fourth-largest economy. While 16 countries are engulfed in conflict, the people of India are focused on realizing the vision of a developed nation under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
Discussing the sugarcane industry, Jayaswal praised the historic initiative taken by the sugarcane department. A two-day seminar was organized, bringing together leading scientists, agricultural experts, vice-chancellors of agricultural universities, farmers, and sugar mill owners. He congratulated the sugarcane department for this significant step, which facilitated meaningful discussions on the robust development of the sugarcane industry, the use of modern technology, and improved coordination between farmers and the industry to strengthen the state’s agriculture-based economy.
On a celebratory note, he congratulated the Indian cricket team for their victory in the T20 World Cup final, where they defeated New Zealand to become champions for the second consecutive time. He remarked that this victory marks a golden era in Indian sports history. It symbolizes not just a trophy but the unwavering spirit, passion, and hard work of the players. The discipline and sportsmanship displayed by Team India have made 1.4 billion Indians proud. He paid tribute to the teamwork and dedication to the nation that has characterized this journey of Indian cricket.
