Nishant Kumar Enters Active Politics, Receives Warm Welcome from JD(U)

Patna, March 8: Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, officially entered active politics on Sunday. He joined the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] at the party’s office in Patna, surrounded by senior leaders.

After formally joining the party, Nishant met with his father, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, to celebrate the occasion with sweets. JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha was also present during this significant moment. Following Nishant’s induction, JD(U) legislators expressed confidence that he would excel in any responsibilities assigned to him.

JD(U) legislator Shalini Mishra expressed her happiness, stating, “I am very pleased and congratulate him. There is a lot of enthusiasm surrounding Nishant Kumar’s entry. We have high hopes that he will lead Bihar to new heights, following in the footsteps and values of Nitish Kumar.”

Senior JD(U) leader Lacey Singh commented on Nishant’s entry into active politics, noting that he is a role model for the youth, well-educated, and has an engineering background. “He has a very humble nature. After joining the party, he will start working. His presence has energized the youth, and I believe the party will grow stronger,” Singh added.

He also responded to statements made by opposition leaders regarding Nitish Kumar, saying, “The opposition is shedding tears today. Where was their mindset when they were continuously making false statements about Nitish Kumar? Our party and Nitish Kumar do not need sympathy from them. Nitish Kumar has worked for Bihar and will continue to do so under his guidance. Nishant Kumar will handle any responsibilities given to him.”

Minister Shravan Kumar extended his best wishes to Nishant Kumar for taking on leadership roles, emphasizing the support he has from leaders across the party spectrum. “The enthusiasm among the youth is evident, and we must seriously consider their responsibilities,” he stated.

JD(U) legislator Komal Singh remarked, “We have long wanted Nishant Kumar to enter active politics. Today is a moment of great joy as he has joined the party at the request of workers like us. Every youth in Bihar is happy with his membership.”
