Nikes Bold Move with Jannik Sinners Clay Court Kit Falls Flat

Mumbai, April 5: Nike recently dressed World No. 2 Jannik Sinner in a striking pink kit for the Sunshine Double. This pastel outfit was a refreshing change for the Italian, who had been sporting colors reminiscent of condiment bottles.

However, it seems Nike’s vibrant designs were short-lived, as Sinner returned to darker hues at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

A Fan’s Humorous Take

While playing doubles with Zizou Bergs, Sinner appeared more cheerful on the court. Yet, his dark Nike kit failed to reflect that joy. One fan humorously likened Sinner’s clay court attire to a uniform worn by employees at a sporting goods store.

Fans remain hopeful for brighter days ahead, especially with Wimbledon approaching, where Sinner will don the traditional whites for his title defense this summer.

Sinner acknowledged Nike’s efforts in creating his kits, noting the brand’s involvement in various sports. He also mentioned that he and his team would have more influence on the Nike designs in 2027.

Let’s hope his feedback leads to a revival of the Sunshine Double aesthetics, including those pink sneakers, and puts an end to the current trend of dull colors.
