NFL Insider Shares Insights on Commanders and No. 7 Draft Pick

Mumbai, April 20: NFL insider Albert Breer recently provided his predictions for the top 10 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft during the latest edition of the “Breer Report.” Breer combined insights from around the league with his own analysis. Notably, he recorded this segment before the New York Giants traded defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the No. 10 overall pick. As a result, the Giants now possess both the No. 5 and No. 10 picks in the first round.

Focusing on the Washington Commanders, who hold the No. 7 overall pick, Breer outlined potential selections for each team in the top 10.

  • 1. Raiders: Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza

  • 2. Jets: Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey

  • 3. Cardinals: Potential trade for EDGE Arvell Reese; if they stay, possibly Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love

  • 4. Titans: Interested in trading for Reese (if available), Love, and Ohio State LB Sonny Styles

  • 5. Giants: Likely to trade; Sonny Styles is a popular name, along with Miami OL Frances Mauigoa, Ohio State WR Carnell Tate, and Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson

  • 6. Browns: Possible trades for Mauigoa, Utah OL Spencer Fano, Miami OL Kadyn Proctor, Tate, and Tyson

  • 8. Saints: Best guesses are cornerback or receiver, with Tate and LSU CB Mansoor Delane as possibilities

  • 9. Chiefs: Likely to select an OT, but may consider Tyson or Tate, or a corner if Delane is available, possibly Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq

  • 10. Bengals (prior to trade with Giants): Defensive players like Downs, Delane, Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy, or Proctor

Regarding the Commanders, Breer commented, “I think this could be the floor for Jeremiyah Love. For the same reasons, if you’re the Titans and you pair him with Cam Ward, I think Love would make sense to pair with Jayden Daniels. This could reduce the pressure on Daniels and lessen the need to involve him in the run game, ultimately preserving his durability throughout the season.”
