New Flight Service to Connect Gwalior with Delhi and Bengaluru Six Days a Week

Mumbai, April 16: Union Minister of Communications and Development of the Northeastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, announced the launch of a new flight service from Gwalior. This service will operate six days a week to both Delhi and Bengaluru. The flights will commence from Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport, connecting Gwalior with these major cities.

Minister Scindia emphasized that this new service will enhance connectivity for Gwalior and the Gwalior-Chambal region, providing passengers with improved and faster travel options. According to reports, Akasa Air will introduce these new flights on this route.

Currently, Indigo operates flights from Gwalior three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). With the addition of Akasa Air’s new flights (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), the service will now be available six days a week. This direct connection to Bengaluru, a key IT and startup hub, is seen as a significant achievement for the region.

Scindia stated that the new flight service will stimulate opportunities in business, industry, education, and employment. Direct connectivity with major metropolitan areas like Delhi and Bengaluru will greatly benefit citizens, entrepreneurs, and students, making travel more convenient and timely. He expressed confidence that this initiative will connect the region to national-level air services through a modern airport, propelling Gwalior’s overall development to new heights.
