Tel Aviv, April 1: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation, asserting that Israel stands stronger than ever on the eve of its Independence Day. He emphasized that the world is hearing Israel’s fierce roar against Iran’s malevolent government, a battle in which significant achievements have been made.
Netanyahu expressed deep condolences to the families of four soldiers lost recently, stating, “On behalf of all Israeli citizens, my wife Sara and I embrace those families who have lost their most precious members. We stand united, bound by a shared destiny to secure our existence and future.”
Reflecting on a month of joint operations with the United States, he noted that they are systematically crushing the terrorist regime that has long chanted, “Death to America, Death to Israel.” Netanyahu highlighted that throughout history, every generation has faced threats, and the current regime of Ayatollahs is no different, attempting to annihilate Israel and dominate the Middle East.
He revealed that Iran has spent nearly a trillion dollars over the years on its nuclear programs and ballistic missiles, funding terrorist organizations while enduring heavy sanctions. “That money has been wasted,” he stated.
The cost of confronting Iran extends beyond finances. Since the beginning of the ‘Redemption War’ during Passover, Israel has inflicted ten calamities on the “Axis of Evil,” targeting Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Assad in Syria, terrorist organizations in Judea and Samaria, the Houthis in Yemen, and Iran’s nuclear program, missiles, and oppressive forces.
Netanyahu compared the current campaign against Iran to the biblical plagues of Egypt, asserting that, like Pharaoh, Iran’s efforts to harm Israel will ultimately fail. He declared that the campaign is ongoing but has already yielded ten significant achievements, including a strategic shift where Israel is now encircling Iran rather than being encircled.
He outlined several accomplishments: raising global awareness of the Iranian threat, fighting alongside the United States, destabilizing what was once an invincible regime, eliminating existential threats from nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, and establishing deep security zones beyond Israel’s borders.
Netanyahu concluded by thanking Israeli citizens for their strength and belief, stating that their resilience has transformed Israel into a regional power and, in some areas, a global one. He acknowledged the difficult decisions made over the past two and a half years, emphasizing the importance of unity and determination in the face of adversity.
As he wished the entire nation a heartfelt Independence Day, he reminded them of the enduring legacy of survival against all odds, reaffirming Israel’s commitment to its future.
