Ahmedabad, March 3: Minister Santosh Suman of the Bihar government has asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will secure all five Rajya Sabha seats in the upcoming elections.
During a media interaction in Gaya, Suman stated that there are five Rajya Sabha seats up for grabs in Bihar. He expressed confidence in the NDA’s strength, claiming, “We believe we have the numbers, and therefore, all five seats will belong to the NDA.” He added that the decision on which party members will represent the Rajya Sabha will be made soon.
As of now, neither the NDA nor the Grand Alliance has announced their candidates for the five Rajya Sabha seats. Speculation suggests that Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), may be nominated by the Grand Alliance.
In addition to political matters, Minister Suman addressed the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. He mentioned that Prime Minister Modi has convened a meeting regarding the safety of Indians caught in the conflict. “Our government is employing all diplomatic efforts to ensure the safe return of our citizens, and discussions are ongoing. Our aircraft will bring Indians back safely. Everyone will return within two to four days,” he stated.
Suman described the escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States as unfortunate. He assured the public that, similar to the government’s successful evacuation of Indian citizens from Ukraine during the previous conflict, this operation will also be executed effectively. He urged the residents of Bihar not to worry about their loved ones, assuring them that everyone will return safely.
