New Delhi, March 15: LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Rajesh Verma has asserted that the NDA will form a government in West Bengal with a significant majority in the upcoming assembly elections.
The Election Commission announced on Sunday the schedule for assembly elections in four states and one Union Territory. Voting for the 294 assembly seats in Bengal will occur in two phases. According to the Election Commission, the first phase is set for April 23, followed by the second phase on April 29. The counting of votes will take place on May 4.
In an interview, MP Rajesh Verma stated, “We are going to form the NDA government with a majority. I wish all voters in these five states the best of luck. We hope everyone will contribute to this election, keeping in mind the development of their state, to help create a majority NDA government so that both the state and central governments can work together for the state’s progress.”
Commenting on the Congress party’s future, LJP (Ram Vilas) MP remarked that public trust in Congress appears to be waning, attributing this to its leadership. He anticipates significant changes in Tamil Nadu and Kerala this time around, and believes that the BJP will also form a government in Assam.
Targeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, MP Verma claimed, “It is evident that the Chief Minister takes to the streets to protect corrupt individuals. What could be more unfortunate? The Chief Minister uses unconstitutional language, openly threatens, and her party’s workers threaten to harm NDA members. Despite all attempts, Mamata Didi will not return. The NDA will form a government in Bengal with a strong majority. All of us in the NDA coalition are ready to contribute fully to the elections.”
