
Patna, March 16: The results of the elections for five Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar have been announced. The Mahagathbandhan coalition has faced disappointment in this election. Prior to the results, they had claimed victory for the fifth seat, but they too have suffered a loss.
Candidates from the NDA have emerged victorious in all five Rajya Sabha seats. Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi confirmed this information.
In an interview with a news agency, Sarawagi stated, “We have been saying from day one that the NDA would win all five seats, and we have achieved that.”
Regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s victory, Sarawagi remarked that decades of political experience and unwavering dedication to Bihar will surely amplify the voice of the state’s people in the assembly. He wished Kumar a successful and bright tenure.
Sanjay Sarawagi extended his congratulations to BJP National President Nitin Nabin, stating that his commitment to public service will continue to inspire party workers not only in Bihar but across the country.
On social media platform ‘X’, Sarawagi congratulated Shivesh Ram on his victory, emphasizing that his dedication and commitment to public service will strengthen the voice of the state and nation in the upper house. He wished him a successful and prosperous term.
Following the victory of Union Minister Ramnath Thakur, Sarawagi expressed hope that Thakur would continue to prioritize Bihar’s issues in the upper house.
Sanjay Sarawagi also congratulated Upendra Kushwaha, the National President of RLM, stating that his presence in the Rajya Sabha as a strong ally of the NDA will reinforce their shared commitment to national interests.
Bihar Government Minister Ashok Chaudhary commented on the NDA’s victory in the Rajya Sabha elections, asserting that they had been declaring their intention to win all five seats since the assembly session. Given the number of legislators, victory was inevitable.
Minister Dilip Jaiswal described the historic victory as dedicated to Bihar’s development. He congratulated BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Ramnath Thakur, National President of the RLM and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha, and Bihar BJP State Secretary Shivesh Kumar on their election to the Rajya Sabha in 2026. He expressed confidence that their energetic leadership and visionary thinking would amplify Bihar’s voice in the assembly, leading to new milestones in comprehensive development and public welfare.
