NDA Secures Victory in All Five Rajya Sabha Seats in Bihar

New Delhi, March 16: The counting of votes for the five Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar has concluded, revealing a remarkable victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which secured all five seats. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, expressed his joy over the candidates’ success, congratulating them on their win. He stated that this victory reflects the effective governance and development policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Chaudhary acknowledged the support of all NDA legislators, emphasizing their unified voting in favor of the candidates. He noted that the legislators demonstrated their trust in their party, the NDA, and the leadership of Modi and Kumar. This commitment highlights their dedication to the development of Bihar.

In congratulating BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Chaudhary recognized his significant contributions as a five-time legislator and senior minister in the NDA government of Bihar. He praised Nabin’s focus on the people’s issues and expressed confidence that he would enhance the dignity of the Rajya Sabha following this election.

Chaudhary commended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, stating that he has transformed Bihar over the past 20 years. He credited Kumar with elevating Bihar from a period of lawlessness before 2005 to a rapidly developing state. Chaudhary emphasized that Bihar will always remember Kumar’s contributions, which will continue to guide the state’s progress. He also mentioned that Kumar’s extensive parliamentary experience would benefit the Rajya Sabha.

The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated Ramnath Thakur, son of the late social justice champion Karpoori Thakur, and Upendra Kushwaha, National President of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha, on their re-election to the Rajya Sabha. He expressed hope that their political experience would be advantageous to the upper house. Additionally, he extended his best wishes to Shivesh Ram on his election to the Rajya Sabha.

Chaudhary further stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party operates under the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” and Shivesh Ram’s selection is a testament to this commitment.

According to the announced results, two candidates from Nitish Kumar’s party, JD(U), have emerged victorious, including Kumar himself and Union Minister Ramnath Thakur. From the BJP, National President Nitin Nabin and Shivesh Kumar also won. Furthermore, NDA ally Upendra Kushwaha from the Rashtriya Lok Morcha successfully secured a seat in the Rajya Sabha.
