Rahul Gandhi Accuses Chief Election Commissioner of Vote Theft, Threatens Legal Action

Rahul Gandhi warns Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of jail time over alleged vote theft during a rally in New Delhi.

New Delhi, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, made a bold statement at the ‘Delhi Chalo’ rally organized by the opposition alliance, INDIA, on Sunday. Speaking to a large crowd at Ram Leela Maidan in New Delhi, he accused Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar of engaging in vote theft, asserting that Kumar could face legal consequences and potentially imprisonment.

Gandhi emphasized that the ongoing struggle is crucial for preserving the nation’s democracy and constitution. He claimed that the actions taken by Kumar constitute not just ordinary theft, but fall into the category of “rarest of rare” offenses in legal terms.

The Congress leader specifically accused Kumar of facilitating vote theft through the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and by removing 135 million names from the voter list. He stated, “What Gyanesh Kumar has done for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah is akin to treason and the theft of every citizen’s voice.”

Furthermore, Gandhi warned that both Kumar and the Prime Minister, along with Home Minister Amit Shah, will have to face repercussions for what he described as an assault on the constitution and democracy.

He remarked, “When Home Minister Amit Shah declares that Prime Minister Modi is going nowhere, we want to inform him that until he faces the consequences of his actions, we will not allow him to go anywhere.”

Addressing the alleged electoral fraud in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections and various state assembly elections, Gandhi noted that the massive crowd gathered at Ram Leela Maidan represents the voices of the youth, farmers, and laborers of the country. This gathering sends a clear message to those involved in vote theft that the public will fight against them and ultimately prevail.

He asserted that the individuals present were sending a message that no one, regardless of their power or wealth, is above the constitution, which remains supreme. Gandhi framed the rally as a demonstration of unity and collective strength aimed at saving democracy.

As the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, he alleged that Modi, Shah, and Kumar have lost sleep over the alleged sin of vote theft and will have to bear the consequences. He declared, “The Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar have attacked the soul of the nation, its democracy, and its constitution, but we will not tolerate this.”

Gandhi also accused the central government and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of controlling national institutions and government agencies. He stated that the citizens of the country do not desire a nation filled with hatred and violence, nor one that is controlled by a few wealthy individuals.

In a message of hope, Gandhi asserted that he harbors no animosity and believes in brotherhood and non-violence. He reassured his supporters that his well-known concept of a “shop of love” will soon reopen.
