Nainital, March 9: The picturesque town of Nainital in Uttarakhand is set to immerse itself in the vibrant colors of literature and art once again. From March 13 to 15, the three-day Nainital Literary Festival will take place at Mountain Magic in Charkhet.
This festival will bring together renowned authors, filmmakers, artists, and theater personalities from across the globe. Amitabh Baghel, one of the organizers, shared that the festival aims to create a platform for literature, culture, and art. Esteemed writers, thinkers, and artists from Uttarakhand, as well as other parts of India and the world, will participate.
Notable figures attending the festival include celebrated author Gurucharan Das, mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, renowned food writer Pushpesh Pant, international author John Jubberjiki, and famous filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. Many other personalities from the literary and artistic realms will also be part of this event.
According to the organizers, special sessions focusing on Uttarakhand’s culture and history will be held during the festival. These will include a session based on the folk tale of Rajula-Malushahi, the launch of a book about Nainital, and discussions on topics related to the deities of Uttarakhand.
Through these sessions, the festival aims to showcase the state’s cultural heritage on both national and international platforms. Over the three days, there will be literary discussions alongside dialogues on art, cinema, culture, and society.
The organizers emphasize that the festival’s goal is to establish Nainital as a global literary hub and to share its cultural environment with the world. Notably, registration for the event is completely free, encouraging maximum participation in this literary gathering.
