
Mumbai, August 27: The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested six individuals, including three officials, in connection with the leak of the Drug Inspector recruitment exam paper conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). All arrested suspects were presented in court and have been remanded to police custody until September 2.
During the investigation, the Crime Branch uncovered a surprising angle involving a romantic relationship and a subsequent breakup. Allegations suggest that Lokesh, also known as Gaurav Patil, leaked the exam paper to help his girlfriend pass the test. After their breakup, he reportedly informed the commission about the leak.
The case has revealed a shocking love story. A young man allegedly arranged for the exam paper to ensure his girlfriend’s success. However, after their relationship ended, he disclosed the leak to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
Among those arrested is Gaurav Rajendra Patil, who was in a relationship with a woman named Ritujja Patil. He allegedly provided her with the leaked paper, which helped her pass the exam. Following their breakup, Gaurav, in a fit of anger, reported the leak to the commission.
It is important to note that the MPSC conducts the Drug Inspector examination. Upon learning of the leak, the commission contacted the Mumbai police, which subsequently assigned the investigation to the Crime Branch.
