A suspect linked to the Tiger Shroff shooting incident has been detained by Mumbai Crime Branch in Indore, as investigations continue.
Indore, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : The Mumbai Crime Branch has taken another suspect into custody in connection with the shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff. The arrest occurred on Saturday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as police continue their investigation into the case.
According to sources within the Crime Branch, the detained individual was providing logistical and financial support to the network involved in the attack. Investigators are questioning him to determine the origins of the weapons used, the source of funding, and whether any hideouts were utilized in Indore.
A Crime Branch official stated that the suspect is part of the support team for the syndicate and has played a role in logistics. Depending on the outcome of the interrogation, further legal action may be taken against him.
On October 18, gunfire erupted at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The actor was leaving a football match at Pushpa Narsee Ground when assailants on motorcycles opened fire. While Shroff narrowly escaped injury, his driver, Firdous, was shot and wounded. The attackers fled the scene on motorcycles, later dispersing via train and taxi.
Following the incident, Mumbai police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Initial actions led to the arrest of three shooters—Rehan, Phool Singh, and Hrithik Kumar—in Kota, Rajasthan. Investigators have since made additional arrests in Delhi and Sonipat, focusing on those involved in the supply of weapons. To date, 11 individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case.
Authorities suspect that the mastermind behind the attack is Randeep Malik, a close associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Malik allegedly tasked Rehan and Kunal through Anil Pandit to carry out the shooting. During questioning, the suspects claimed that Tiger Shroff’s praise for Salman Khan was a motivating factor for the attack.
