New Delhi, April 9: In Sanatan Dharma, the Panchang holds significant importance. The five components—constellation, day, date, Karan, and Yoga—determine the start of the day and the auspicious and inauspicious times. On Friday, April 10, the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Baisakh will be observed. This day is particularly significant for the worship of Kalabhairav, also known as Monthly Kalashtami.
This day is also referred to as Kala Ashtami. It occurs every month on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha. Devotees of Kalabhairav perform special prayers and observe fasts on this day. To receive the blessings of Kalabhairav, devotees maintain a fast throughout the day and engage in worship.
According to the Drik Panchang, sunrise on April 10 will be at 6:01 AM, while sunset will occur at 6:44 PM. The Ashtami Tithi will last until 11:15 PM that night, after which the Navami Tithi will begin. However, according to Udaya Tithi, the Ashtami will still be considered valid throughout the day. The Purvashada Nakshatra will be in effect until 11:08 AM, followed by the Uttarashada Nakshatra. The Yoga of Shiva will last until 6:31 PM. The Karan of Balav will be effective until 10:21 AM, and Koulav will last until 11:15 PM.
