Siliguri, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh has launched a sharp critique of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, suggesting that she has lost her way. In light of potential alliances between Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress party, Ghosh stated that even her own party is now beyond her control.
Speaking to reporters, Ghosh remarked, “Where is the Indy alliance? Mamata Banerjee has lost her direction. She claimed to have formed it, but now her party is not under her command. The party’s accounts have vanished, its election symbol is gone, and even the office has disappeared. What credibility does a leader have if they cannot stand against Prime Minister Modi?” He reassured the public, saying, “Do not worry. The country is in strong hands, moving forward, and the people are happy.”
Regarding the upcoming by-elections for two assembly seats, Ghosh noted the keen interest of the populace in Bengal. “People engage with every election here. There is enthusiasm for the by-elections, and everyone views it as a source of entertainment. Let them compete. Elections are celebrated like festivals, and everyone already knows the outcome.”
On allegations of vandalism at CPM party offices across the state, Ghosh commented, “The CPM has nothing left. They create their own chaos to stay in the headlines. Where is their office? They set up shop on the pavement, only for their own members to destroy it. This is not our concern.”
Discussing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global leadership and the Indian economy, Ghosh asserted, “There are no questions about PM Modi’s leadership. The nation has repeatedly endorsed him and trusted him. Major global powers are inviting him and valuing his presence. Despite fluctuations in the global economy over the past few years, PM Modi has shielded India’s economy from its effects.”
He added, “Globally, fuel prices have seen significant volatility, with rates in Pakistan soaring to 400 rupees per liter. Here, prices have been stabilized, and the government has absorbed the economic impact to prevent any burden on the public. This is true leadership. Achieving a 7.8% GDP growth under such circumstances seemed impossible, yet PM Modi made it happen. That is why Russia and China have united against nations striving for global stability.”
