Maulana Sajid Rashidi Responds to Maulana Arshad Madanis Statement, Claims Muslims Are Being Intimidated

New Delhi, May 18: Maulana Sajid Rashidi has responded to Maulana Arshad Madani’s recent statements, asserting that the rhetoric surrounding Muslims is clearly aimed at instilling fear. In an interview with a news agency, Rashidi emphasized that Muslims are genuinely feeling threatened.

Commenting on Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh’s remarks, Rashidi noted that there is a temple just four kilometers from his village where prayers are held at three in the morning. He stated that no Muslim has ever complained about the noise from temples or the ringing of bells. He further highlighted that during religious processions, loud music is played all night, yet Muslims have never raised objections.

Regarding the Bhojshala case, Rashidi criticized the recent High Court ruling, claiming it is biased. He suggested that the statue of Saraswati should be brought from London for installation. He plans to challenge this ruling in the Supreme Court, expressing confidence that the decision will be overturned, allowing Muslims to pray at the site once again.

Rashidi pointed out that the mosque in question has existed for thousands of years and has previously hosted prayers. In 2003, the Archaeological Survey of India granted permission for Friday prayers there. He believes that the hurried actions of conducting rituals and placing idols at the site disrespect the faith of others, and such actions should not be permitted.

In response to BJP leader Agnimitra Paul’s comments, he stated that while they share a common mother who gave them life, they do not worship their mother. He questioned how one could prostrate to the earth if they do not revere their own mother. Rashidi, who has studied the Vedas, Upanishads, and Gita, noted that he finds no directive to see God everywhere. He emphasized that all creations are made by the Almighty, and Islam’s beauty lies in its belief in one God.
