Mamata Banerjee Should Apologize for Misconduct with President: Tuhin Sinha

Mumbai, March 9: BJP leader Tuhin Sinha has responded sharply to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s recent comments regarding President Droupadi Murmu. He stated that Banerjee lacks faith in the Constitution.

In an interview in Mumbai, Sinha criticized Banerjee for her undemocratic behavior, emphasizing that her recent misconduct towards the President is something the people of India and Bengal will never forgive.

Banerjee caused significant inconvenience to the Santhal community by changing the venue of an important meeting of the International Santhal Council at the last minute. The chaos that ensued affected attendees, and there was a clear violation of the President’s protocol. The Chief Minister was expected to be present to receive the President, but she was absent.

Sinha remarked that Banerjee’s mindset is unconstitutional and shows a lack of respect for the office of the President. He urged her to apologize to the Santhal community, accusing her of blaming the President instead. He asserted that Banerjee does not believe in the Constitution or traditions, and her continued position as Chief Minister poses a danger to both the state and the country.

Referencing Prime Minister Modi’s recent comments about the role of the Lok Sabha Speaker, Sinha noted that Modi likened the Speaker’s role to that of a school teacher, who expects discipline from students. He criticized Rahul Gandhi for behaving like a mischievous student who thinks he can break the rules to get his way. Sinha praised Om Birla for his excellent handling of the House, while pointing out that Gandhi has been absent on numerous occasions. He claimed that the opposition’s no-confidence motion reflects their lack of issues.

Sinha concluded by stating that the fall of the TMC government in Bengal is imminent, leading TMC leaders to make baseless statements out of panic. He highlighted a viral video of Mahua Moitra, where she claimed that voting for the BJP would mean one is not Bengali. He reminded the public that Moitra is the same individual who allegedly sold her parliamentary login details for money.
