Major Fire Erupts at Noida Factory, Workers Rescued by Firefighters

Noida, March 12: A devastating fire broke out early Thursday morning at a factory located in Sector 4 of Noida. The flames quickly escalated, causing panic among local residents. The fire and smoke were visible from a distance. Firefighters arrived on the scene to combat the blaze.

Reports indicate that several individuals were trapped inside the factory during the incident. Fortunately, firefighters successfully rescued them. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.

According to police and fire department officials, the fire was reported around 4 AM at a factory producing electrical meters in Sector 4, Phase 1. Upon receiving the alert, fire brigade and police teams rushed to the site. The intensity of the flames trapped many workers inside the facility. The fire brigade promptly initiated a rescue operation to evacuate those trapped.

An official from the Gautam Buddha Nagar fire and emergency services stated, “We received information about the fire at 5:45 AM in Block B of Sector 4. The fire was reported to be significant, prompting us to deploy a large number of vehicles. There were concerns about people being trapped inside. Upon arrival, our team discovered that the fire had spread to the basement, ground floor, first floor, and second floor. Our personnel immediately began firefighting efforts.”

A police officer at the scene reported that approximately 50 workers were on the night shift and became trapped due to the fire. Firefighters initiated a rescue operation, breaking windows and using hydraulic equipment to extract the employees. The rescued individuals were promptly transported to a hospital. About 25 people are currently hospitalized, with some sustaining serious injuries.

Authorities have stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Initial assessments suggest a possible short circuit or other technical malfunction. The fire department continues to work on controlling the blaze. The exact cause will be determined following a thorough investigation.
