Major Drug Seizure Near Mumbai Port Linked to Notorious Trafficker

Mumbai, August 19: Authorities have seized 55 kilograms of methamphetamine near the Nhava Sheva port in Mumbai, valued at approximately ₹300 crore. This incident has once again brought the notorious drug trafficker Mohammad Hasan Hussain Dada into the spotlight.

Hussain is believed to have a significant influence over India’s drug market. He has a long history of involvement in international drug trafficking and is originally from Kandahar, Afghanistan. Currently, he is reportedly assisting Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), using drug profits to fund terrorist activities.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) already has Hussain on its radar. He has been implicated in multiple drug trafficking cases, and the NIA has previously filed charges against him.

According to officials, Hussain has executed several operations in India before. Indian agencies face numerous challenges regarding his operations, as he typically traffics large quantities of narcotics, particularly heroin, into India and other South Asian countries.

Intelligence officials indicate that Hussain has been working to expand his operations under the direction of the ISI, which currently requires funds for its espionage activities in India.

An official claimed that the ISI is in need of financing to promote terrorist activities within India, as it has plans for several major attacks.

Following the arrest of Salim Dola, Hussain’s network activities have slowed down. Dola was considered an associate of Dawood Ibrahim and oversaw the syndicate’s operations in India.

Sources suggest that the ISI is attempting to alleviate pressure on the syndicate and is allowing it to strengthen itself before launching new operations in India.

Another official noted that given the current situation surrounding the de-syndication efforts, Hussain may soon escalate his operations in India.
