Hangzhou, May 13: The World Digital Education Conference 2026, held in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province in Eastern China, showcased several significant achievements. A new version of China’s Smart Education Public Service Platform was launched during the event.
Additionally, the “China Smart Education Development Report (2025-2026),” “AI Education Ethics: Framework for Reference,” and the “AI Education Hangzhou Initiative” were also unveiled.
Under the new platform, three major global segments were introduced: the Global AI Education Service Platform, the Lifelong Learning Center, and the “I Love Chinese” Learning Community. The “China Smart Education Development Report” focuses on educational transformation, development, and governance in the intelligent era.
The “AI Education Ethics: Framework for Reference” establishes ethical behavior standards for teachers, learners, and institutions.
The “AI Education Hangzhou Initiative” emphasizes human-centered, health-first education and calls for bridging the global digital divide.
Furthermore, the World Digital Education Alliance presented two digital education standards: the “AI Education Application System” and the “Essential Elements for AI-Driven Smart Campuses.”
