Patna, March 31: The resignation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from his MLC position has stirred significant discussions. Following his resignation, leaders from the Janata Dal (United) appeared emotional.
Maithili Thakur, a legislator from Alinagar and a renowned folk singer, shared her thoughts on Kumar’s resignation. She assured the public that under his leadership, Bihar will continue to thrive.
In an interview, Thakur stated, “No one can nurture Bihar as Nitish Kumar has done over the years. His initiatives for women’s empowerment are unmatched by any other Chief Minister. Even after his resignation, Bihar will follow the path he has laid out.”
She added, “We first heard CM Nitish Kumar on the radio, and recently, I had the opportunity to work under his leadership. Many people know him closely and have collaborated with him for years. It’s natural for emotions to run high in such circumstances. In the future, we will follow in his footsteps and strive for Bihar’s development as before.”
When asked about the potential successor to Kumar’s position, Lok singer Thakur refrained from giving a direct answer. She mentioned that she is new to politics and leaves the decision of who should take the chair to the party. However, she emphasized that Kumar has accomplished a lot for Bihar and is regarded as a hero by the people. It’s not unreasonable for the public to have expectations from the hero’s son, as they see a reflection of Kumar in him.
Regarding the recent results of the Bihar Board’s 10th and 12th grades, where girls outperformed boys, Thakur remarked that this reflects the progress of Bihar, showcasing how girls are excelling in all aspects.
