Bhopal, August 17: More than 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh are set to receive a special gift on August 19. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will launch the 39th installment of the ‘Chief Minister Laadli Behna Yojana’ from Maihar. Under this initiative, eligible beneficiaries will receive a direct transfer of ₹1,500 as monthly assistance, along with an additional ₹250 as a Raksha Bandhan gift.
The Chief Minister will release these funds during a program in Maihar with just one click.
The government has described the ‘Laadli Behna Yojana’ as a significant step towards the economic empowerment of women in the state. The extra ₹250 being provided during Raksha Bandhan is intended as a special gift to help beneficiaries meet household needs and other expenses during the festival.
Launched in June 2023, this scheme has been consistently implemented. Since November 2025, the monthly assistance amount has increased by ₹250, ensuring that each eligible woman now receives ₹1,500 every month. A total of 38 installments have been regularly disbursed between June 2023 and July 2026.
The upcoming 39th installment in August 2026 will reach the bank accounts of over 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh.
Officials have stated that timely fund disbursement under this scheme provides direct financial assistance to women, particularly those from economically weaker sections. The government’s aim is to strengthen the sense of security and support among female beneficiaries by combining regular monthly aid with additional funds during festivals.
The decision to launch the installment from Maihar demonstrates the administration’s commitment to reaching women in various regions of the state.
Beneficiaries will receive a total of ₹1,750 directly in their accounts without any intermediaries, ensuring transparency and ease of access to benefits.
With the 39th installment, the ‘Laadli Behna Yojana’ is solidifying its position as a major welfare program for women in Madhya Pradesh. The government has consistently showcased the financial assistance provided over the past three years as evidence of its commitment to women’s economic freedom and welfare.
