
Bhopal, April 10: The Madhya Pradesh government has executed a significant reshuffle of senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, transferring commissioners and collectors in key departments and districts.
The order issued on Thursday reflects a major administrative overhaul aimed at strengthening governance and balancing responsibilities among officials.
In the new appointments, senior officer Krishna Gopal Tiwari (2008 batch), previously the commissioner of Narmadapuram division, has been appointed as the commissioner of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment in Bhopal. Shilpa Gupta (2008 batch), the commissioner of public education, has been transferred to the Home Department as secretary. Abhishek Singh (2009 batch), who served as the secretary of the Home Department, will now work as the commissioner of public education and ex-officio secretary of the School Education Department.
Several important changes have also been made among district collectors. Kaushalendra Vikram Singh (2010 batch), the collector of Bhopal, has been appointed as the secretary to the Chief Minister and commissioner-director of the Urban and Rural Investment Department, along with additional responsibilities.
Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary (2011 batch), the collector of Shivpuri, has been transferred to serve as additional secretary in the Departments of Narmada Valley Development and Water Resources.
Pratibha Pal (2012 batch), the collector of Rewa, will now serve as the collector of Sagar. Rajeev Ranjan Meena (2012 batch) has been appointed as the collector of Dhar, while Dharmendra Kumar Jain (2012 batch), the collector of Umaria, will take on the role of additional secretary in the Aviation Department.
Other notable transfers include Narendra Kumar Surya Vanshi (2012 batch), who will now serve as the collector of Rewa, and Priyanka Mishra (2013 batch), who will move from Dhar to Bhopal as collector. Sonia Meena (2013 batch), the collector of Narmadapuram, has been appointed as additional secretary in the Finance Department. Somesh Mishra (2013 batch) will work as the collector of Narmadapuram, while Sandeep G.R. (2013 batch), the collector of Sagar, has been assigned to the position of Labour Commissioner in Indore.
Additionally, Sheetala Patle (2014 batch), the collector of Seoni, has been appointed as secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission in Indore. Neha Meena (2014 batch) will now serve as the collector of Seoni, while Rani Batad (2014 batch) has been appointed as deputy secretary in the Cooperation Department. Sudhir Kumar Kochhar (2014 batch), the collector of Damoh, will now work as the deputy secretary to the Chief Minister and as the executive director of EPCO in Bhopal.
This reshuffle also includes young officers: Arpit Verma (2015 batch) has become the collector of Shivpuri, Rakhi Sahai (2015 batch) has taken charge as collector of Umaria, and Sheila Dahima (2015 batch) has been appointed as collector of Shyopur. Bidisha Mukherjee (2015 batch) will serve as the collector of Maihar.
Pratap Narayan Yadav (2016 batch) has been appointed as the collector of Damoh, while Rahul Namdev Dhote (2017 batch) will serve as the collector of Mandla. Yogesh Tukaram Bharsat (2017 batch) has been appointed as the collector of Jhabua, and Saurabh Sanjay Sonawane (2017 batch) will now serve as the collector of Betul.
Under this order, several officials have also been relieved of additional responsibilities they previously held. Sonali Ponde Vayangankar has been relieved of the additional charge of Commissioner for Social Justice and Empowerment. Deepak Arya has been released from the additional charge of Executive Director of EPCO.
Tanvi Duda has been relieved of her role as Labour Commissioner in Indore, while Kailash Bundela has been freed from additional responsibilities related to the Aviation Department.
This extensive administrative reshuffle is expected to enhance focus on administrative functions in key districts and departments. The complete list of transfers has already been sent to all relevant offices.
