Madhya Pradesh CM Highlights Deendayal Upadhyayas Vision for Self-Reliant India

CM Mohan Yadav emphasizes Deendayal Upadhyayas principles as the foundation for a self-reliant India during a tribute in Bhopal.

Bhopal, September 25 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, highlighting his philosophy of integral humanism, self-reliance, and the concept of Antyodaya, which focuses on reaching the last person in society. During a ceremony at the statue of Upadhyaya in Bhopal’s Lalghati, Yadav connected Upadhyaya’s vision to the development agenda of the Narendra Modi government, asserting that these ideas are being realized through the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) initiative.

Yadav was joined by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was in Bhopal to inaugurate a bus service. The Chief Minister used this occasion to emphasize the BJP government’s commitment to supporting domestic production, local industries, farmers, women, youth, and small entrepreneurs, framing it as an extension of Upadhyaya’s economic and social philosophies.

He reiterated that Upadhyaya’s core message was about self-reliance and indigenous development. According to Yadav, Upadhyaya envisioned meaningful development as one that benefits the most marginalized individuals, enabling every citizen to lead a self-sufficient and dignified life.

Yadav further stated that the Modi government is advancing these principles by strengthening domestic production and encouraging local enterprises. He noted that the shift towards self-reliance is a continuation of the ideological vision articulated by Upadhyaya decades ago. The seeds of self-reliance sown by Upadhyaya are now blossoming into the vast tree of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

The state BJP leadership also aimed to reinforce their organizational connection to Upadhyaya’s ideals during this anniversary. State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal described Upadhyaya’s philosophy as a continuous source of inspiration for party workers, linking it to the party’s emphasis on service and welfare.

Khandelwal praised Upadhyaya as a great national leader whose vision and ideas shaped the BJP’s ideology, dedicating his life to national service and the welfare of the last person in society. He stressed that the BJP’s organizational efforts should remain focused on service, self-reliance, and Antyodaya, ensuring that the benefits of development reach the most disadvantaged communities.
