Narsinghpur, May 13: In a significant move towards women’s empowerment, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred funds to over 1.35 million beneficiaries under the Laadli Bahna Scheme. This event took place on Wednesday in Mungwani, Narsinghpur district, where the CM executed a single-click transfer of ₹1,835.67 crore as the 36th installment of the scheme.
During the event, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation for 40 development projects worth ₹296 crore. The program began with a floral tribute to young girls. CM Yadav engaged with children showcasing stick tricks, even lifting one into his arms while demonstrating the skill himself. After performing a cow worship ritual, he visited several exhibitions set up at the venue and distributed benefits to the beneficiaries. Additionally, top-performing students received laptops and certificates.
Addressing the audience, CM Yadav criticized the Congress party, which he claimed doubted the longevity of the Laadli Bahna Scheme, asserting, “The Congress has never respected mothers and sisters, which is why they are gradually disappearing from the country.” He emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continues to strengthen its position.
Yadav highlighted the party’s recent successes, including winning the Assam government for the third time and achieving a significant victory in Bengal. He stated, “The blessings of Mother Ganga are with us from Gangotri to Ganga Sagar.” He remarked on the changing political landscape, asserting that the BJP delivers on its promises.
He also referenced Modi’s call for 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies, criticizing opposition parties for disrespecting women. “Mothers and sisters can forget many things, but they will never forget their humiliation,” he quoted Modi, noting that mothers played a crucial role in the recent elections. Since the formation of their government, approximately ₹46,000 crore has been deposited into the accounts of Laadli sisters, bringing the total to over ₹55,000 crore when combined with the previous administration.
