Madhhu Supports Rashmika Mandannas Embrace of Her South Indian Accent

Actress Madhhu praises Rashmika Mandanna for confidently owning her South Indian accent on Koffee with Karan.

Mumbai, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Madhhu recently voiced her support for Rashmika Mandanna during an episode of “Koffee with Karan.” This follows Rashmika’s comments about facing criticism for her South Indian accent. Madhhu commended Rashmika for embracing her identity and responding to criticism with confidence.

On the show, Rashmika discussed her experiences with trolling related to her accent and performances. She asserted her South Indian roots, explaining that her accent is a natural reflection of her background.

In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Madhhu praised Rashmika’s handling of the criticism. She expressed admiration for how Rashmika laughed off negativity and openly identified as South Indian. “I watched the episode and loved how Rashmika managed the backlash regarding her accent,” Madhhu noted.

Madhhu reflected on her own journey in the Hindi film industry, recalling her initial fears of judgment for being South Indian. “Years ago, I was terrified of being judged for my accent. I worked hard to improve my Hindi, even hiring a teacher to help me,” she shared.

She candidly discussed the struggles she faced early in her career, admitting that even a hint of her South Indian accent made her anxious. “When people said my Hindi was better than that of native speakers, it filled me with pride,” Madhhu said.

Now, she proudly embraces her heritage. “I take pride in being South Indian. If I make mistakes in Hindi or my accent shows through, it doesn’t bother me. It took me 30 to 35 years to get here,” she added. Madhhu concluded with warm wishes for Rashmika, celebrating her authenticity and star quality. “Keep shining, Rashmika,” she encouraged.
