LPG Cylinder Explosion in Medininagar Leaves Four Seriously Injured

New Delhi, March 15: A tragic incident occurred in Medininagar, Jharkhand, on Sunday when an explosion of LPG cylinders stored in a house left four young men seriously injured. The victims have been admitted to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The explosion caused panic in the area, prompting authorities to seal off the surrounding region as a precautionary measure.

The blast took place in a house near Bariya Chowk, where the LPG cylinders were stored. The force of the explosion was so intense that nearby residents rushed out of their homes in fear. The injured have been identified as Dharmendra Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Vikram Singh, and Alok Kumar, all residents of Pandu in Palamu district.

Reports indicate that the young men were present in the house for some work when the explosion occurred. Local residents suspect that a large number of LPG cylinders were illegally stored in the house, raising concerns about safety regulations.

It is believed that the house belongs to the owner of a gas agency operating in the Pandu area, where the cylinders were accumulated. Upon receiving news of the explosion, police and fire department teams quickly arrived at the scene. Firefighters worked to control the flames, while police cordoned off the area. A rescue operation was also initiated, as there were initial fears that more individuals might be trapped inside the house.

Town police station chief Jyotilal Rajwar confirmed the incident, stating that four individuals were injured and have been hospitalized. He noted that preliminary investigations suggest the presence of an illegal gas storage facility at the site. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the explosion and will take further action regarding the illegal storage of cylinders.
