Lieutenant Governor Visits Accident Victims in Jammu and Kashmir Hospital

Jammu, April 22: Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, visited the Government Medical College in Jammu on Wednesday. He sought updates on the health of citizens severely injured in a tragic road accident that occurred on April 20 in Ramnagar, Udhampur.

A team of doctors briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the victims’ health status and the specialized treatment procedures being implemented. Hospital officials informed him that Hans Raj and Lakhwinder Singh are under the continuous supervision of senior health professionals and are receiving the best medical care possible.

The Lieutenant Governor instructed the hospital administration to ensure the highest quality of medical care for their swift recovery.

Earlier, on the day of the incident, Manoj Sinha expressed his condolences on social media, describing the tragic road accident in Udhampur as heart-wrenching. He extended his deepest sympathies to the grieving families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He directed the district administration, police, SDRF, and health department to provide all possible assistance to those affected.

On April 20, a devastating bus accident occurred in Udhampur, resulting in the deaths of 21 people and injuring over 60 others. The incident took place when the bus was en route from Ramnagar to Udhampur city.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur, Prem Singh, stated that it is very sad news that a bus traveling from Ramnagar to Udhampur met with an accident at a location known as Kagot Mor. So far, several casualties have been confirmed.

Meanwhile, a sergeant from the army reported that they were conducting exercises when they noticed the fallen bus. Their team immediately rushed to rescue the victims, managing to recover several bodies and save five to six individuals alive.
