Leaders Pay Tribute to Guru Nanak Dev on Jyoti Jyot Day

New Delhi, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : On October 5, leaders from various sectors gathered to pay homage to Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, on Jyoti Jyot Day. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, along with Union Ministers Manohar Lal and Nitin Gadkari, expressed their reverence through social media.

Om Birla shared his tribute on the platform X, stating, “On Jyoti Jyot Day, I bow to Guru Nanak Dev, the great messenger of humanity, equality, and spiritual awareness. His teachings of truth, compassion, and welfare remain relevant today. He courageously spoke against superstitions and social evils, guiding us towards the path of collective well-being.”

Union Minister Manohar Lal also took to X, writing, “I pay my respects to the revered Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj on his Jyoti Jyot Day. His life exemplifies the pursuit of public welfare, inspiring us all.”

Nitin Gadkari added his tribute on X, simply stating, “On Jyoti Jyot Day, I offer my deep respects to Guru Nanak Dev.”

Union Education Minister Prakash Joshi honored the guru by stating, “I pay my respects on Jyoti Jyot Day, as Guru Nanak Dev’s message of service and equality continues to inspire society towards altruism.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her gratitude, highlighting the divine light of “Ek Onkar Satnam,” which guides humanity toward truth and harmony. She emphasized that Guru Nanak’s teachings promote service and the well-being of all.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also paid tribute, noting that Guru Nanak Dev’s light of love and harmony continues to guide the world toward humanity and goodwill.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya remarked on the significance of Guru Nanak Dev’s teachings, stating, “On Jyoti Jyot Day, I humbly pay my respects. His messages of love and selfless service provide new direction to society.”

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor, Tarunjeet Singh Sandhu, concluded the tributes with a message of unity, stating, “On Jyoti Jyot Day, I bow to Guru Nanak Dev, who taught us to rise above caste and discrimination, promoting love, equality, and service.”

The celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev’s legacy continue to resonate, reminding society of the values of compassion and unity.
