New Delhi, August 1: TMC leader Kirti Azad has responded to Prime Minister Modi’s recent video message and the protests led by Pappu Yadav.
In a conversation with journalists, Azad noted that the Prime Minister has stopped appearing on television and is now releasing videos on Instagram. This shift indicates the deteriorating condition of the BJP, he asserted. He found it absurd that the Prime Minister has sought forgiveness from the public, yet the people have not forgiven him.
Azad also commented on Pappu Yadav’s demonstration outside Parliament, highlighting alleged irregularities in donations to the Ram Temple. He remarked that, apart from a few scholars and Shankaracharyas, most individuals dressed in traditional attire are impostors. He emphasized the need to reveal the truth about the situation, questioning the benefit of trolling Pappu Yadav.
The TMC leader further stated that there is a consistent disrespect towards Sanatan Dharma. He claimed that his party has exposed how the Ram Temple has been subject to looting.
Regarding West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Azad mentioned allegations of a ₹15,000 crore scam made by one of the Chief Minister’s legislators against them. He insisted that there should be an investigation into the TMC. He expressed concern over the eviction of the poor from their homes, demanding accountability from the Chief Minister.
On the topic of terrorist attacks, Azad criticized the government’s intelligence capabilities, stating that the number of attacks in the past 12 years has surpassed those that occurred during the previous government. He referred to a recent attack in Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in the deaths of two laborers, highlighting the ongoing nature of such incidents.
