On this occasion, Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav has extended his wishes for Bihar Day while advocating for constitutional status for the Bihari language. In his lengthy social media post, Khesari Lal highlighted the strength of Biharis in India. He stated that while Biharis were once seen as a burden abroad, they are now emerging as a force to be reckoned with, urging every Bihari to take pride in their identity.
He wrote on the social media platform X, “Biharis have spread across every corner of the world. What may have once been a necessity should now be a source of strength. Bihar and Biharis need better branding. The world has become cosmetic, yet we Biharis still perceive cosmetics as a facade.”
The actor also criticized Bihar’s political landscape, accusing politicians of playing with the sentiments of Biharis. He added, “Bihar has become a playground for media to enjoy and experiment. Politicians awaken the ego of Biharis to reach Parliament and the Assembly, but when it comes to granting constitutional status to the Bihari language, they find excuses. Believe me, the image of Biharis created outside Bihar mirrors that of Indians outside India. Things are changing; traditional media is now portraying a positive image of India, and it’s time for Brand Bihar to be showcased as well.”
