Thiruvananthapuram, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan expressed his admiration for a heartfelt invitation from a fourth-grade student, Priscilla Praveen, at Kanchiyar Government Tribal LP School. Priscilla invited him to join a traditional Onam feast featuring 101 dishes, known as ‘Onasadyam.’ Satheesan shared this touching encounter on the social media platform X.
In his post, the Chief Minister described how Priscilla’s warm invitation filled his heart with joy. Despite his busy schedule, he regretted that he could not join her and the other students for the celebratory meal. He noted that the young girl’s infectious happiness and sweet words left a lasting impression on him. Satheesan remarked that Priscilla’s radiant smile brightened his day, and he looks forward to meeting her soon.
He emphasized that Onam is more than just a festival; it symbolizes togetherness, selflessness, and equality. Witnessing children embrace these values demonstrates that Kerala’s educational system prioritizes not only academic knowledge but also human values.
The Chief Minister also congratulated the school’s headmistress, Lincy George, along with the teachers and parents who contributed to organizing the grand feast.
