New Delhi, August 2: Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has made a striking remark about Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), suggesting that he is mentally unwell.
Sirsa criticized Kejriwal for conducting a National Town Hall event against the E20 initiative. He claimed that Kejriwal has become agitated following his defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections and is still unable to accept his loss. “Consider the person who once claimed he would need to be reborn to defeat me. Think about the mental pressure he must be under now. His health is not good,” Sirsa stated. He added that a person who builds a palace through deceit is now grappling with the thought of living without power, but he will eventually adapt.
In light of the sentencing of Tahir Hussain, an accused in the murder case of IB officer Ankit Sharma, Sirsa remarked that it would have been fitting if Kejriwal had also faced punishment, as he is essentially the mastermind behind AAP. He accused the party of orchestrating violence in Delhi, akin to the Congress party’s actions in 1984, while trying to shield the perpetrators. Sirsa emphasized that despite Kejriwal’s attempts to protect Hussain, the court has delivered justice. “I believe he should have received the death penalty to send a strong message. Today, Hussain must realize that his greed and adherence to Kejriwal’s words led to this massacre, and now he must face the consequences,” he asserted.
Regarding the Delhi Laxmi Scheme, Sirsa described it as a significant gift for women in the city. He noted that during the elections, the Prime Minister and the national president promised this initiative. With the launch of the Delhi Laxmi Scheme portal, that promise has been fulfilled. He urged all eligible women to submit their applications promptly. Sirsa also informed that BJP legislators have deployed additional staff in their constituency offices to assist women with the application process. Eligible beneficiaries can complete their registration and receive a monthly financial aid of ₹2,500 through their local MLA’s office.
