Coimbatore, February 16: The Mahashivratri festival, organized by Isha Foundation’s founder and spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev (Sadhguru), attracted attendees from 180 countries, all immersed in devotion to Lord Shiva.

The grand ceremony saw participation from Bollywood celebrities and sports personalities, who gathered to pay their respects. Among them, Juhi Chawla and Tanisha Mukerji shared their experiences during an interview.

Juhi Chawla remarked, “I have been following Sadhguru for ten years, and it has significantly transformed my life. I have participated in many foundation events, spoken with Sadhguru, and even helped raise funds for special programs. This is why I continue to be part of this celebration, and it fills me with pride.”

Reflecting on Mahashivratri, she added, “I have attended the Mahashivratri ceremony, and it grows larger each year. Initially, very few knew about it, but now everyone is aware of how Isha Foundation conducts Shiva worship on a grand scale, and many want to be part of it.” She further shared that in the past, when she couldn’t attend, she would watch TV and try to meditate at home after midnight. However, she noted that the energy here is unique, making it solely about meditation, allowing her mind to become immersed in Shiva.

Tanisha Mukerji, attending for the third time, expressed, “When I first came here, I was amazed to see that it is not just a festival; it is a night of meditation where one can connect with the essence of Shiva. Unfortunately, I did not know the true meaning of Mahashivratri, but thanks to Sadhguru, I have learned. We are taught that we are not just ordinary humans but embodiments of the divine, and we must recognize the Shiva within us.”
