Ranchi, August 9: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has called upon the youth of the state to provide suggestions for improving the examination system. In a message shared on social media, he emphasized the need for student participation to make the education and competitive exam processes transparent, fair, reliable, and timely.
CM Soren referenced the ‘Students’ Voice – With Students’ initiative, urging students from every district, block, college, university, and coaching institute in Jharkhand to share their concerns and suggestions regarding the examination system.
He noted that millions of young people’s dreams are intertwined with their families’ hopes. Therefore, ensuring the credibility of the examination and recruitment processes is a priority for the government. He acknowledged that for years, sectors like education, health, social security, commissions, and employment lacked the necessary strength. Instead of ignoring these issues, the government has recognized them and taken steps toward reform.
In his message, the Chief Minister claimed that for the first time since the state’s formation, the government has developed new guidelines to make the JPSC and other recruitment examination processes more transparent and accountable. Strict legal provisions have been implemented to prevent incidents like question paper leaks and to maintain the integrity of the examinations. He mentioned that while there have been criticisms regarding these provisions, the government believes that the interests of students who prepare honestly for exams should be prioritized.
The Chief Minister pointed out that many states in the country are facing challenges regarding the credibility of their examination systems. He stated that Jharkhand’s effort is not just to discuss problems but to move towards solutions. He also highlighted improvements in employment and recruitment processes, affirming the government’s commitment to protecting the interests of Jharkhand’s youth and expanding opportunities for them.
According to the Chief Minister, suggestions received from students will be studied and evaluated by experts. Those suggestions that can be implemented in accordance with rules and constitutional provisions will be acted upon within a specified timeframe. He stressed that exam reform is not merely an administrative issue; it is a matter connected to the trust of youth, the hopes of millions of families, and the future of the state.
The Chief Minister has urged students to share their insights on the shortcomings of the examination system, the challenges they face, and suggestions for improvement. Suggestions can be submitted through the portal at dialog.jharkhand.gov.in. He reiterated that the government aims to make the examination system more transparent, technology-enabled, secure, and accountable, with significant youth participation.
