Jammu, March 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir stated on Monday that the nation owes a debt of gratitude to Maharaja Ranbir Singh for the establishment of a vibrant culture and the development of a strong and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.

Sinha made these remarks during the unveiling ceremony of a statue of Maharaja Ranbir Singh at the Central Sanskrit University located in the Kot Bhalwal area of Jammu. The university’s campus was also renamed ‘Shri Maharaja Ranbir Singh Campus’ on this occasion.

During the ceremony, Sinha emphasized that the reforms initiated by Maharaja Ranbir Singh and his efforts towards building a vibrant culture have significantly contributed to the prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.

He left behind a legacy for future generations that is rich on physical, intellectual, and spiritual levels.

The Lieutenant Governor stated that renaming the Jammu campus of the Central Sanskrit University is a testament to the enduring influence of Maharaja Ranbir Singh’s vision, which continues to guide the society of Jammu and Kashmir even after 150 years.
