Jaipur, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : As the BRICS Summit approaches, the world’s leading nations will gather in New Delhi, where the dining experience will be as remarkable as the cuisine served. The tableware used at this prestigious event will highlight Jaipur’s unique craftsmanship, merging traditional techniques with modern design.
Arun Pabuwal, CEO of the Aruns Group, along with Director Antara Pabuwal, shared that a special collection of silver-plated tableware and cutlery has been crafted for the foreign dignitaries attending the summit. Approximately 300 artisans contributed to the creation of these exquisite pieces, which integrate traditional artistry with contemporary technology.
Each piece of tableware is designed to complement the diverse array of dishes that will be served. From beverages to main courses and desserts, every stage of the dining experience has a distinct design. For instance, if Russian cuisine is featured, the tableware will reflect that style, while Indian dishes will be presented with a design that honors local aesthetics.
Antara Pabuwal noted that the entire process of creating these products took around four to five months, encompassing design, prototyping, and production. Initially, a specific set of items was requested, but as the project evolved, additional pieces were incorporated, resulting in a collection of about 60 to 70 different items.
Among the unique creations is a specially designed ‘shawl tray,’ intended for presenting shawls or blankets to guests. The collection also includes a larger-than-usual finger bowl, designed for enhanced comfort during use.
Before finalizing the designs, the team thoroughly understood the event’s requirements and concept. They presented design concepts, which were then prototyped and brought to production.
Arun Pabuwal emphasized that the primary challenge of preparing for such a significant international event was not just about creating products but also about striving for continuous improvement. Over three months were dedicated to design and development, while the entire supply project spanned four to five months. The goal was to innovate and elevate the designs beyond previous efforts, successfully merging traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.
