Jain Community Celebrates Inauguration of Samrat Samprati Museum in Gandhinagar

Ahmedabad, March 31: Members of the Jain community and followers of Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj expressed their joy on Tuesday during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for the inauguration of the ‘Samrat Samprati Museum’ on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

Siddharth, a resident of Kolkata, described the event, named ‘Bharat Virasat Mahotsav’, as a “world-class initiative.” He shared, “I have only caught a glimpse of the museum, and it is truly magnificent. We hope such world-class institutions are established in other locations as well. If something similar could be built at the birthplace of Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj, we would be very grateful.”

Another Kolkata resident, Shashikant, remarked, “What PM Modi has done resonates with Lord Mahavir’s message of ‘live and let live.’ We are fortunate that our Prime Minister also upholds Jain traditions. This will inspire many.”

Sandeep Navalakha, who attended the event, stated, “We take immense pride in how PM Modi and Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj have promoted our Jain culture and heritage. We run the Murshidabad Heritage Development Society.” He added, “The Maharaj was born in Murshidabad. We wish to establish a similar museum there, even on a smaller scale, to preserve his legacy and educate people about Jain history.”

A visitor from Patna expressed, “Today, the ‘Samrat Samprati Museum’ has been dedicated to the nation; future generations will always remember it. This museum will play a crucial role in the journey of India’s heritage.”

Rakesh, a resident of Ahmedabad, also spoke about the museum’s inauguration, saying, “This is a significant event. I have been associated with its library for many years.”

Another attendee praised PM Modi’s guidance, stating, “His leadership is essential for future generations. It is due to PM Modi’s efforts that people are learning about India and its culture. India showcases the harmony of all religions, with a common goal: ‘live and let live.’”

He further noted, “After today’s event, the youth will have the opportunity to learn about India’s culture.” Mukesh, a member of the Jain community, became emotional while discussing the grandeur of the event. “I have never witnessed such a large and historic occasion. I have seen the museum, and I have not seen anything like it in the country. We are grateful to have had the chance to see both Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj and PM Modi.”

After attending the event, another resident, Pragya, said, “We are very happy that PM Modi came here. We received a positive message.” An Ahmedabad resident also expressed joy over PM Modi’s visit, stating, “While wars rage across the world, India enjoys peace due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. We are immensely grateful for his presence today.”
