Iran Vows Strong Response to US Attacks on Wedding Celebration

New Delhi, September 2: Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, has issued a stern warning regarding the recent US attacks, asserting that Iran will respond decisively to these brutal incidents. He emphasized that governments and international organizations that remain silent will also face consequences.

Baghaei accused the US of serious wrongdoing, stating that over 50 innocent individuals were killed or injured during an attack on a residential home in Kuhestak, Sirik, where families were celebrating a wedding.

In a post on the social media platform X, Baghaei noted that this tragic event adds to the list of atrocities committed against Iran by the US. The attack occurred on Tuesday night while families were gathered for the wedding festivities, resulting in the loss of innocent men, women, and children.

He stated that this incident cannot be viewed in isolation from previous events in Minab, Lamerd, Qeshm, and other locations, nor can it be separated from the military strikes that were justified with misleading reasons.

The statement highlighted that normalizing bombing is more dangerous than the bombs themselves, and granting legitimacy to silence is even more perilous.

Baghaei affirmed that Iran will respond firmly to these cruel acts. He urged governments and international organizations that remain silent or attempt to justify such events to understand that their silence is not neutrality.

The statement further noted that when unlawful attacks and serious crimes are overlooked or justified for political convenience, the line between condemning crime and normalizing it becomes blurred.

Baghaei warned that those who remain silent today will not escape the repercussions tomorrow. Ignoring injustice does not halt it; instead, it emboldens those who perpetrate such acts.
