Jamtara, April 21: Political rhetoric is intensifying in West Bengal, governed by the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Meanwhile, Jharkhand government minister and Congress MLA Irfan Ansari targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, Ansari stated, “The BJP has lowered the standards of politics, and we are perplexed by their star campaigners. They lack any real issues. They talk about infiltrators in Bengal, meandering around rivers, claiming this is the border with Bangladesh. I believe if we approach the river, we will find the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister, and the Defense Minister standing there. So how can any Bangladeshi cross over?”
He continued, “The BJP wants to mock the public. They think the people are fools. They have the central government, and the public has entrusted them with responsibility. Therefore, it is their duty to protect, yet they are talking about infiltrators. It seems they are trying to mislead the public.”
Ansari asserted, “The BJP’s goal is not to address infiltrators or Bangladeshis but to gain power. However, we will not allow them to achieve power at any cost. We repeatedly state that the Congress will not help form a government in Bengal. The BJP should abandon its dreams of coming to power. Bengal is known for its food, culture, and beauty, yet BJP leaders seem to be treating it as a picnic spot.”
He added, “Some people are enjoying fish and rice there because it is famous. Those who have gone there for food are being welcomed by Bengal. The land of Bengal offers ilish fish, and the locals are enjoying it. The Prime Minister is eating jhalmuri. I found the BJP’s script amusing.”
