Hugli, April 22: During an election rally in Hugli, BJP MP Anurag Thakur launched a sharp attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He declared, “We will not allow Gajwa-e-Bengal. Outsiders have consumed the local people’s grains.”
Thakur emphasized that Naxalism began in Naxalbari, West Bengal, and has spread to 126 districts across the country. He noted that ten percent of the population has been suppressed. Since the Modi government took office, significant actions have been taken against Naxalism, leading to a nearly Naxal-free nation. “If we can rid the country of Naxalism, we can also free West Bengal from Bangladeshi infiltrators,” he asserted.
He criticized Banerjee, who has been in power for 15 years, for failing to list even five achievements. “From morning till evening, she only talks about SIR-SIR, and now she is discussing fish at every opportunity. In states governed by the BJP, there are no restrictions on food and clothing. Everyone lives freely. If we come to power in West Bengal, everyone will enjoy the same freedom,” he stated.
While rallying supporters with the chant “May 4, Mamata’s Departure,” Thakur warned that if Banerjee remains in power, Rohingya Muslims and infiltrators will continue to arrive, consuming funds meant for mid-day meals and taking away rights and jobs. “We will not allow Gajwa-e-Bengal in West Bengal,” he reiterated.
Thakur further claimed that in the past 15 years, TMC and Mamata Banerjee have forced the youth to leave the state. “Now, it’s their turn to flee,” he added.
He pointed out the lack of job opportunities for the youth, forcing many to seek work in Mumbai and Delhi. “If our government is formed, we will provide jobs and self-employment to one crore youth. Additionally, unemployed individuals and young people will receive three thousand rupees each,” he promised.
