New Delhi, April 15: Iran’s President Masoud Pajeshkian has stated that his country seeks dialogue, not war. According to the IRNA news agency, he warned that any attempts by the United States to impose its will or force Iran into surrender will be unsuccessful.
Addressing concerns over attacks on schools and colleges in Iran by Israel and the US, President Pajeshkian questioned, “What is justified about targeting civilians, wealthy individuals, and children, and destroying essential centers like schools and hospitals under international law and humanitarian principles?”
In a statement on Telegram, Pajeshkian emphasized, “Iran does not desire war or instability and consistently advocates for dialogue and cooperation with other nations. However, any attempt to impose another’s will on our country and force us into surrender is destined to fail. The Iranian people will never adopt such a path.”
During a visit to the Aerospace Research Institute in Tehran, Iran’s Science Minister noted that the nation faces an adversary that disregards ethics, law, or any other system. On February 28, the US and Israel jointly attacked Iran.
US Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mike Waltz stated that America insists Iran must completely halt its nuclear program. Waltz remarked on Fox News regarding Washington’s demands from Tehran, “Secondly, you cannot operate a nuclear program.” He also claimed that the US is prepared to maintain its naval blockade on Iran until Tehran fully restores navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Waltz confirmed that the US is pressuring Iran to open waterways, asserting, “Iran does not have the right to choose winners and losers in the global economy.”
