Bengaluru, April 18: The 26th match of IPL 2026 is underway at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, featuring the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Delhi Capitals (DC). DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first.
After winning the toss, Axar Patel stated, “We will bowl first. The wicket looks good and hard. Chinnaswamy is a great ground for chasing. It’s nice to have a long break after losing consecutive matches. We need to focus on our strengths. We will play with the same playing eleven.”
The Delhi Capitals started the season strong with two wins but faced defeats in their last two matches. They aim to break their losing streak against RCB.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar expressed, “I’m happy to bat first as we planned to do so on this track. It’s a day game, and the surface looks good. We aim to set a strong total and apply pressure on them. We are playing with the same side. Our final is at Chinnaswamy this year, so we must win all our home matches.”
RCB will don their green jerseys for this match, which Patidar emphasized is significant for raising environmental awareness.
