Mumbai, April 19: Interpol has successfully apprehended Shaifi, also known as Major, a close associate of the infamous gangster Prince Khan, in Dubai. This arrest is considered a significant achievement for the Jharkhand police. Following his extradition, Major was brought to Kolkata Airport on Sunday, where a special team from Jharkhand police transported him to Dhanbad under tight security.
According to police records, Shaifi, alias Major, was the main operator of the gang. He was known for sending threatening audio and video messages to both businessmen and ordinary citizens at the behest of Prince Khan. Major played a crucial role in managing the gang’s activities through digital platforms.
Authorities are optimistic that during interrogation, they will uncover shocking revelations about the gang’s network, funding, and the whereabouts of Prince Khan. Security agencies have received significant information regarding the most wanted gangster, who fled to Dubai four years ago and has remained elusive despite an Interpol Red Corner Notice.
Recent intelligence suggests that Prince Khan has shifted his base from Dubai to Punjab, Pakistan. From there, he continues to extort large businessmen in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, and Jamshedpur using virtual numbers. Once starting his criminal career in the alleys of Wasseypur, Prince Khan has now become a threat to national security.
In light of his activities from Pakistan, Jharkhand police are initiating legal proceedings to declare him a ‘terrorist.’ Investigations have revealed that Prince Khan’s syndicate is not only supported by criminals but also by several white-collar individuals and land dealers who supply weapons and funds.
The arrest of Major is seen as the beginning of the end for Prince Khan’s empire. Police in Dhanbad, along with other districts in the state, are preparing to take Major into custody for remand in various cases against him. Police officials believe this is the most significant action taken towards dismantling Prince Khan’s network.
